Located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Company of Rogues Actors' Studio teaches a deep and personal process of acting rooted in the New York tradition of authentic performance; offering professional Stage, Meisner, Television and Film training for the actor. For the last 30 years, our Co-founders (Joe-Norman Shaw and Christiane Hirt) have dedicated their lives to the craft of acting as working professionals, while sharing their passion with thousands of students -many of whom have successfully entered the professional world.

OUR FOCUS

Uta Hagen, principal acting instructor at New York’s famed HB Studio, espoused: “Only he who can, should teach”. At Rogues we adhere to this philosophy- our faculty is comprised of practicing film and theatre artists, recognized for their professional work in performance, writing and directing. Company of Rogues is a New York style studio offering the most comprehensive training program found in Western Canada. Our teachers have a deep understanding of the Craft of Acting and the ability to produce actors who meet industry demands.
