Joe-Norman Shaw – Artistic Director

As Founder and Artistic Director of Rogues Theatre, Joe’s directing credits include Italian American Reconciliation, Red Light Winter, St. Scarlet, Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train, Push Up, Tape, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, The Melville Boys, Selling Mr. Rushdie, Criminal Genius, Savage in Limbo, and Cow Town. As an actor for Rogues Theatre he has appeared in The Dreamer Examines His Pillow, The Old Neighborhood, Heaven and Dinner with Friends.

An actor since 1981, Joe has performed in theatres across Canada and internationally including The Stratford and Shaw Festivals, NAC, Citadel Theatre, and Vancouver Playhouse. In Calgary he has worked with ATP, Theatre Junction, Lunchbox Theatre, Pleiades/Vertigo Theatre and Downstage. Joe’s numerous film and TV credits include the upcoming CBC Mini-series Everest, Lost Holiday, Moondance Alexander, Crazy Canucks, Tom Stone, Burn, Caitlin’s Way, High Noon, North of Sixty and Noah. Joe is Co-Director and Founder of Company of Rogues Actors’ Studio and holds an Honours BA in Drama
(University of Guelph) and an MFA in Directing (Universityof Calgary).
